TRADITIONAL BALINESE COOKING CLASS

 

Discover the secrets of authentic Balinese food right here in Sidemen. You will experience shopping at our local morning market, trek through Sidemen's rice-paddies with amazing views and surroundings and pick your own vegetables from the farm.

 


Our cooking class will show you the traditional way of cooking  Balinese food using a traditional Balinese style kitchen. We cook on wood-fired, mud brick stoves which brings out  the original flavors of Bali food .

 


You can choose a vegetarian or non vegetarian cooking class.

The quiet and beautiful rice field view will make you feel great while enjoying cooking and eating!

 

Schedule:

  • 8:00am ~A visit to the  Klungkung Market (the second biggest market in Bali)

  • 10:00am ~Short nature walk and pick up vegetables

  • 11:00am ~Start Cooking & lunch

  • 2:00pm ~Swim in the river(option)…back to villa

 

Vegetarian course*:

  • jukut ares (banana stalk soup)

  • plecing kankung (green leaves with spicy sauce)

  • gado gado (vegetables with peanut sauce)

  • pergedel jagung (corn fritter)

  • tempe/tahu cury (tempe & tofu coconut curry)

  • sambal tomat (spicy tomato sauce)

  • sambal nyuh (coconut spice )

  • bubur injin (black rice pudding)


Non Vegetarian course*:

  • jukut nangka (pork&jack fruit soup)

  • jukut urab (vegetables with grated coconut)

  • tempe manis (tempe with sweet sauce)

  • pepes ikan (spiced fish in banana leaf) or sate ikan(minced fish sate)

  • gule ayam (coconut chicken curry)

  • sambal tomat (spicy tomato sauce)

  • sambal matah (raw spicy sauce)

  • bubur injin (black rice pudding)
