WHITE SAND BEACH
Our favorite beach in Bali is Pasir Putih ( White Sand Beach ) that is set about 1 hour from Sidemen. This beach is nothing like the crowded beaches in Kuta or Sanur in the south. It's a hidden away beach that is mentioned in most guidebooks but few people ever bother getting to it because it involves a bit of traveling to reach.
It’s a lovely beach with good squeaky sand, the kind you dream of when thinking of a tropical beach. The setting really is stunning and there are beach umbrellas and deckchairs should you want them.
No hotels, villas or any other tourist accommodations are visible from this beach, only a few warungs at the northern end of the beach that offer local food, snacks and beverages for visitors, while the southern end is given over to the local fishermen’s boats. The warungs are cheap and cheerful, our favorite warung serves a delicious fish, grilled Mahi-Mahi, that we recommend you to try. You will get the deckchair for free if you eat here.
The beach is at the end of a steep dirt road, so If you’re on a motorbike and you’re a bit of a novice, leave it near the top and walk down.
